Its been a good two weeks. A hard ones, but decent. Something I've noticed is that my weight fluctuates more than a politician. My body is still melting, but its not always showing up on the scale. I'm not eating crazy things. I'm sticking to the 15-1600 calorie thing. I'm eating healthy. Trying to eat a lot of fruit and veggies.
Weighed in last week for the competition. We'll see how that goes. Based on the blog...it appears I'm in first place. A friend had surgery...and is recovering...so she is probably losing a substantial amount of weight. So, I foresee her winning. Which is ok by me.
I'm still in the gym 4-5 days a week. Usually five. And I keep pushing myself. I am getting more and more in shape, stronger, and just plain healthier. I have more energy. And thats what its all about, right? Not numbers on a scale. A friend, whose an expert on these things, told me that my hard work was paying off. She said keep fighting, and the "fat" will come off. So, I continue the grind.
Had a few interviews past few weeks. Hoping something comes of them soon. Interviewing at the Holiday Inn Thurs. That would be great for us, because Jason could get a discount on hotels when he travels. Not to mention I'd have a job haha. Plus, I think I could make the schedule I want there. I think.
I have really had this song on my mind past few weeks. I listen to it at least three times in a row when I lift weights. I'll leave these as my closing words. Until next time...
"Voice Of Truth"
Oh what I would do to have
The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
To the realm of the unknown where Jesus is
And He's holding out his hand
But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again. 'Boy, you'll never win!'
"You'll never win"
But the voice of truth tells me a different story
And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
Oh what I would do to have
The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant
With just a Sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand
But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again "boy, you'll never win!
"You'll never win"
But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don't seem so high
From on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
